The Discount Leather Place is a privately owned company established in 2003 by the President and Founder of the company, Jim O'Halloran. Jim retired from IBM after 30 successful years but was not yet ready for a rocking chair on the front porch, so he began searching for some quality products to build a partime business. Having found a source of high quality leather that he could offer at discount prices far below the malls and specialty shops, he began selling these fine leather jackets and accessories from a 12' by 12' stall at a local shop. The leather and the discount prices were so well received that he started handing out catalogs to his walk-in customers, who shared them with friends and neighbors,and the telephone orders started coming in. That's when he decided to expand to an online store to make it easier for anyone interested in buying really high quality leather at genuine discount prices to find a distributor.....The Discount Leather Place.
